DR. ASANGA GUNAWANSA
Law Session Chair
Dr. Asanga Gunawansa is an active lawyer who has more than 30 years of experience as a legal practitioner. He currently heads Colombo Law Alliance, a law Chamber in Sri Lanka specializing in Foreign Investment Law, Arbitration, Construction Law, Commercial Law, Environmental Law and legal aspects of Sustainable Development. He holds a PhD in Law from NUS while his LLM in International Economic Law was from University of Warwick. He was a Professor at NUS, Singapore and a Research Associate of the Institute of Water Policy, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, NUS. He had also functioned as a Legal Counsel for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency in Geneva and the United Nations Compensation Commission in the Middle East.
