Prof. Adrian Nathai
Programme Director, BSc Actuarial Science | Heriot-Watt University, Malaysia Campus
Adrian is an Assistant Professor in the School of Mathematical and Computer Sciences at Heriot‑Watt University Malaysia. With focus on actuarial science, finance, and statistics, he has spent more than two decades teaching, mentoring, and shaping academic programmes across Malaysia, the Caribbean, and the wider global Heriot‑Watt network.
Adrian currently serves as Programme Director for BSc Actuarial Science and is the AMS department’s Stage 4 Coordinator. In these roles he leads curriculum development, accreditation preparation, assessment design, and cross‑campus coordination. Under his leadership, the Actuarial Science intake at HWUM has grown consistently and there have been improved rates of professional exam exemption attainment for students.
He is also on the university Senate where he advocates for global perspectives while safeguarding the interests of MACS and the Malaysia campus.
